Placements24 in Upington, South Africa, seeks a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security across the organization’s network. You will configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security devices to protect data and systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in IT or CS and 4+ years in network security, with certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security or CISSP as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 4+ years of network security engineering or administration experience.
• Certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security or CISSP are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
• Monitor network traffic for security threats and anomalies, and respond to security incidents.
• Configure and maintain intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Perform regular security assessments and penetration testing of the network.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security of network architecture and systems.
• Stay current with emerging network security threats and technologies.
