Job summary

BLU by Adcorp SA in Gauteng is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to maintain and optimize our office IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance. You will manage the corporate network, printers, VoIP systems, and provide tech support to end-users.

Responsibilities include monitoring the office LAN/WAN, performing upgrades, managing IPs and VLANs, printers, and security configurations; and training staff on basic network usage.

Qualifications

• Strong TCP/IP networking and VLANs experience.
• Experience with LAN/WAN monitoring and Cisco/HP/Aruba platforms.
• Printer management and print server experience beneficial.
• On-site role with after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the office LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Perform regular network upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Printer and peripheral management including RICOH printers and print servers.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network-related issues.
• Maintain documentation of network topology, configurations, and procedures.
• Train staff on basic network and device usage as needed.
• Assist users on helpdesk issues like installation of software, driver updates and troubleshooting.

• Network Maintenance & Support
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the office LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Perform regular network upgrades, patches, and security configurations.
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Printer & Peripheral Management
• Monitor, maintain office RICOH printers.
• Manage print servers and user access controls.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and procedures.
• Train staff on basic network and device usage as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and industry standards.
• Assist users on helpdesk issues, such like installation of software, driver installations and update, troubleshooting of issues on user laptops and many other such like issues.

Skills and education required:

• Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching (Cisco/HP/Aruba), VLANs, and wireless technologies.
• Understanding and proven skills on Helpdesk issues and resolutions
• Diploma /Degree in Information Technology
• On-site role with occasional after-hours support for emergencies.
