Qualifications

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
• 3–5 years' proven sales experience in electrical, lighting or networking/IoT is a strong advantage.
• A self-motivated, target-driven approach with a genuine hunter's mindset.
• Confident communication skills — you can present, train and build rapport with resellers and customers.
• A valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
• Resilience, a winning attitude, and a real drive to earn.
• Strong attention to detail and a results-focused way of working.

Responsibilities

• Managing a healthy sales pipeline from first contact through to close.
• Converting leads into sales by matching customer needs to the right solutions.
• Canvassing and prospecting for new business in the electrical, lighting and smart home/IoT space.
• Visiting customers to assess needs and present products and solutions.
• Negotiating pricing and contracts, and preparing quotes and agreements.
• Running product training and sales presentations for resellers and customers.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with resellers, customers and key accounts.
• Reporting on sales activity and pipeline status.
• Keeping customer and lead records accurate and up to date.
• Staying on top of market trends and competitor activity in the home automation/IoT space.
• Handling customer information with confidentiality.
