Placements24 is seeking a highly qualified Nanny and Educational Support Specialist for a family in Rustenburg, North West. The role blends nurturing caregiving with early childhood education to support children's academic, social, and emotional growth.

The ideal candidate will create engaging learning activities, supervise daily routines, manage meals and hygiene, and communicate progress with parents. A Bachelor’s in Education or related field plus substantial experience in private households

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a nanny, tutor, or educator, preferably in a private household setting.
• Strong knowledge of various educational curricula and learning methodologies.
• Proven ability to create engaging and effective learning plans.
• Excellent child development knowledge and behavioral management skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Impeccable communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and highly reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide excellent references.
• Experience with children of varying ages is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Rustenburg, North West area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive childcare, including supervision, meal preparation, and hygiene management.
• Develop and implement engaging educational activities, tutoring, and homework assistance.
• Create stimulating learning environments that foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
• Monitor and support the children's academic progress and personal development.
• Plan and organize age-appropriate recreational and developmental activities.
• Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to established routines and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Manage children's schedules, including extracurricular activities and appointments.
• Instill positive values and good manners in the children.
• Maintain a tidy and organized living space for the children.
