Job summary

Trending Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled maintenance technician in East London to perform general repairs and upkeep across facilities. The role covers tool storage, equipment maintenance, and coordinating with contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

Grade 12 with Mathematics and a valid EB driver’s licence are required.
Valid Code EB Driver's Licence is required.
Minimum 1 year relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

Monitor that power tools, hand tools and maintenance equipment are kept in good working condition and stored safely.
Report broken tools/equipment to the Maintenance Manager and, where possible, repair broken maintenance tools.
Identify the types of tools, equipment and materials required.
Once work has been completed, request that the supervisor inspect the workmanship.
Perform duties as per requirements to eliminate downtime or hazards / safety issues.
Replace faulty globes and tubes; repair electrical equipment where qualified.
Liaise with contractors and other workers; attend to roofing, painting, plumbing and carpentry tasks.
Ensure safe and secure working environment and compliance with SHEQ procedures.
