Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is essential.
• 3 to 5 years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably with multiple client portfolios.
• Expertise in Pastel and Excel is required.
• Experience with VIP Payroll is advantageous.
• Fully bilingual with excellent verbal and written communication to interface with business owners.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Client Portfolio Management: manage day-to-day bookkeeping needs of multiple external clients and portfolios.
• Full bookkeeping functions on Pastel, processing client records up to trial balance level.
• Manage monthly salaries and payroll functions for various client structures using VIP Payroll.
• Create, customize, and maintain detailed financial spreadsheets using Excel for portfolio clients.
• Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
• Handle statutory returns including VAT, Workmen's Compensation, and UIF/PAYE.
• Securely manage online banking platforms for client payments and transfers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for designated portfolios, providing proactive financial updates.
