Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Claims Adjuster specialized in motor vehicle claims to join our client in the Tembisa area, Gauteng. The role focuses on investigating, assessing, and negotiating settlements, while ensuring compliance with policy terms and company procedures.

You will be the primary contact for claimants, guiding them through the process with clarity and empathy. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of motor claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Insurance, Law, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Claims Adjuster, with motor vehicle claims focus.
• Strong understanding of motor vehicle mechanics and repair processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate motor insurance claims by interviewing claimants, witnesses and assessing vehicle damage.
• Determine liability and coverage under policy terms.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties in a fair, timely manner.
• Appoint and manage third-party service providers (repairers, assessors) for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate claim files documenting investigations, communications, and decisions.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalate as needed.
