Job summary

UNICEF South Africa seeks an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation professional to ensure timely, reliable information on children’s rights and programme performance. You will work with the UN country team to support MDG attainment and monitor UN-supported programmes.

The role includes developing national capacities for monitoring, evaluation, and research with government, community and civil society engagement, contributing to SDG tracking and humanitarian preparedness.

Qualifications

• Master or equivalent in Social Science, Statistics, Planning Development or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure UNICEF Country Office has useful, valid information on children’s and women’s rights and programme performance.
• Work with UN country team to deliver valid information on MDGs and UN-supported programmes.
• Assist in establishing monitoring and evaluation tools to track SDGs and other commitments.
