Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for a hybrid role based in Paarl, Western Cape. You will design and implement M&E frameworks, collect and analyze data, and generate insights to inform program improvements and demonstrate accountability to stakeholders.

You will develop reports and presentations, provide recommendations for program adaptation, ensure data quality, and build the capacity of staff in data collection and basic M&E principles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in development or non-profit sectors.
• Strong skills in SPSS, R, and Stata and data visualization.
• Experience in designing surveys and focus group discussions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear and concise communication of findings.
• Familiarity with results-based management and logical frameworks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field.

About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous and analytical Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to ensure the effectiveness and impact of their charitable programs. This hybrid role, based in Paarl , will be responsible for designing and implementing robust M&E frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and generating insights to inform program improvements and demonstrate accountability to stakeholders. You will be instrumental in measuring the success of initiatives and driving evidence-based decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans and tools for various programs.
• Collect, clean, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program performance and impact.
• Develop reports and presentations summarizing M&E findings for internal and external audiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) , preferably within the development or non-profit sector.
• Strong skills in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and data visualization.
• Experience in designing surveys, focus group discussions, and other data collection methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with results-based management and logical frameworks.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Development, Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
