Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to assess the impact and effectiveness of programs in the Gauteng region. You will work with program teams to design and implement robust M&E frameworks and provide insights for strategic improvements and accountability in the charitable sector.

The role requires significant fieldwork and on-site engagement, with responsibilities including data collection, analysis, reporting, and ensuring data quality and ethical practices

Qualifications

• Degree in social sciences, statistics, or development studies.
• Proven experience in M&E, preferably in non-profit.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Excel).

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools for various projects.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret program data to assess progress towards goals and identify challenges.

• Conduct field visits to gather data and provide on-site support to program teams.
• Ensure data quality and ethical data collection practices are maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Excel) and M&E methodologies.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage data collection processes in the field.
