Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Sales Application Engineer in Pretoria to translate mine requirements and machine data into practical, compliant solutions. You will craft the technical architecture, BOM, assumptions, interfaces and proposal baseline to drive opportunities from concept to delivery.

You will perform structured discovery, lead site audits, classify fleets and define installation scopes. Strong CAD/engineering background and mining domain experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level engineering degree or equivalent.
• Five+ years in technical sales, applications engineering or related.
• Experience with mine environments and OEM interfaces preferred.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and machine data.
• Familiarity with CAD or wiring/layout tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured technical discovery in mine operating environments.
• Lead site and machine audits and gather OEM interface data.
• Define hardware architecture and machine-level BOMs for proposals.
• Develop technical proposals, risk registers and handover packs.
• Validate scope before quotation and support post-order work.
