Job summary

RCPM Industries is seeking a capable Production Supervisor to oversee daily mining and stockpile reclaiming operations at the Exxaro Grootegeluk Complex. You will coordinate operational teams, monitor production targets, ensure safety procedures are followed, and support efficient equipment and personnel utilisation.

The role requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to manage production records while interfacing with maintenance and planning teams to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Experience in production supervision within mining or related industries.
• Experience supervising operational teams and equipment operators.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to complete production reports and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities in accordance with plans and targets.
• Allocate tasks and coordinate operators, team leaders and workers.
• Monitor production output, equipment utilisation and performance.
• Coordinate stockpile reclaiming and material-handling activities as assigned.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and report breakdowns promptly.
• Liaise with Maintenance regarding equipment availability and repairs.
• Conduct toolbox talks and reinforce site safety requirements.
• Identify risks and delays and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor attendance and shift handovers.
• Maintain production records and shift reports.
• Coordinate with supervisors, planners and management to meet production needs.
• Ensure housekeeping meets safety standards.
• Support investigations into incidents and deviations.
• Monitor compliance with site procedures and mining safety requirements.
