Job summary

RCPM Industries in Lephalale, Limpopo is seeking an experienced Maintenance Foreman to supervise and coordinate maintenance teams at the Exxaro Grootegeluk Complex. You will oversee daily maintenance activities and ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, supervisory skills, and the ability to prioritise maintenance in a heavy industrial mining environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• A relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification is advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience in equipment maintenance in heavy industry.
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience in maintenance.
• Ability to complete maintenance reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and maintenance personnel.
• Allocate tasks to artisans, mechanics and maintenance team members.
• Coordinate planned, preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Oversee inspections, servicing, breakdown repairs and fault-finding.
• Monitor equipment condition and maintenance issues that could affect production.
• Ensure maintenance work is safe, timely and compliant with procedures.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure work orders, schedules, tools and parts.
• Liaise with Stores and procurement regarding spare parts and consumables.
• Monitor progress, quality and outstanding tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Identify recurring failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production and Operations to minimise downtime.
• Report performance and equipment issues to management.
