Job summary

Hire Resolve's client, a mining company in the Northern Cape, seeks an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the processing plant's engineering, maintenance and operations, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency.

You will lead crushing and processing activities, manage maintenance strategies, drive improvements and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards within the facility.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the mining industry
• Experience managing a concentrator, primarily involving jaw and cone crushers
• Proven experience in a 2.6.1 legal appointment within a processing plant environment
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and maintenance of a large-scale processing plant.
• Provide strategic leadership to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant performance.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of crushing and processing equipment, including jaw and cone crushers.
• Take accountability for plant availability, equipment reliability and production performance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and engineering requirements within the processing plant.
• Lead planned and unplanned maintenance activities and ensure effective preventative maintenance strategies are implemented.
• Manage engineering projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
• Monitor equipment performance, identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
