Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years in mining/environmental law.
• In-depth knowledge of MPRDA and related regs.
• Experience drafting and negotiating mining-related agreements.
• Familiar with environmental law as it relates to mining operations.
• Strong analytical, research, and advisory capabilities.
• Solid understanding of corporate and commercial law.
• Ability to work with technical and operational teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on mining law, prospecting rights, permits and licenses.
• Ensure compliance with MPRDA and related legislation.
• Draft and review mining-related agreements (joint ventures, option agreements, contracts).
• Advise on environmental compliance and permitting for mining activities.
• Manage land acquisition and mineral rights tenure issues.
• Assist in dispute resolution and litigation for mining operations.
• Conduct due diligence for mining transactions and projects.
