Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician for a mining operation in the Northern Cape. The role focuses on maintaining instrumentation equipment across crushers, conveyors, pumps, and process systems, ensuring safe and reliable plant performance.

The candidate will work with PLC/SCADA systems, perform condition monitoring, update asset care records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to SHERQ standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent educational background.
• National Diploma with Trade Test in Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation.
• Minimum of five years' operational engineering experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an automated plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instrumentation and technical support to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of plant operations.
• Monitor and maintain asset care to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Compile and submit regular reports on equipment status and performance.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost control to manage expenses while maintaining safety and compliance.
