MULTIFORM HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled financial clerk for our mining-sector operations in South Africa. The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, payroll support, site cost administration and general ledger tasks.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, assisting with payroll, cost tracking, and monthly reporting. The ideal candidate has mining experience, SAGE Pastel proficiency, and strong Excel skills, plus a clean record

Qualifications

• Experience in the mining industry is essential.
• Ability to prepare basic financial reports for management.
• Knowledge of transactions up to trial balance.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, goods received notes and supporting documentation.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules for approval.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparation and submission of client invoices.
• Capture and reconcile customer payments.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Maintain accurate debtor records.
• Capture daily bank transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Reconcile petty cash and site cash floats.
• Ensure all transactions are correctly allocated in the accounting system.
• Assist with collection and verification of timesheets.
• Capture payroll-related information accurately.
• Process employee advances, deductions and reimbursements.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
• Capture and allocate site operational costs.
• Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting.
• Support contract-specific cost tracking and project accounting requirements.
• Process journal entries and assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with company procedures.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Verify purchase requisitions and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monitoring of purchase orders and supplier accounts.
• Reconcile fuel, consumables, and inventory-related transactions.
• Liaise with procurement and stores departments regarding discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain accurate filing systems for financial documentation.
• Assist in compiling management reports and financial schedules.
