SGS is seeking a Minerals Operations Supervisor in Randburg to arrange, supervise and report on mineral-related tasks in line with SOPs and international standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years relevant experience in mining, minerals or related operations.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in inspection or mining operations.
• English fluency; other languages an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Attend to all aspects of operational matters related to work in progress.
• Ensure adherence to International Standards.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure adherence to the Company Code of Ethics.
• Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System.
• Check staffing across trade sites is sufficient and timesheets are correct.
• Liaison with clients and/or direct superior regarding progress and/or non-conformance.
• Coordinate daily operational deployment of inspectors with the branch manager.
• Assist in training, coaching and counseling of employees to sustain competencies.
• Ensure SGS equipment is maintained and in good working order.
• Adhere to QHSE requirements of SGS management systems.
