Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to head site activities in Sandton, Gauteng. You will drive performance, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across all operations.

You will coordinate with auditors, support regional management, and ensure efficient resource planning while maintaining client liaison and issue resolution. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of management experience.
• Scheduling of staff and operations planning.
• Safety and quality management experience.
• Sample preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and support the Regional Manager to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance to company policies.
• Manage petty cash usage at the site and provide monthly revenue updates.
• Plan, organize and control Operations and ensure adequate manpower, equipment and tools.
• Support field auditors, inspectors and the HSE & quality coordinator.
• Monitor operational performance and maintain quality and safety systems.
• Provide liaison and technical support to clients and assist in complaints/resolution.
• Coordinate proposals and provide technical and sales support as needed.
• Adhere to SGS QHSE, HR policies and country legislation; participate in integrity projects.
