SGS is seeking a competent supervisor to oversee minerals operations, ensure adherence to International Standards, SOPs and the SGS Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies. The role includes coordinating daily field activities, supervising staff and subcontractors, and ensuring timely, accurate reporting and certification of completed jobs.

Requirements include Matric with tertiary chemical testing/sampling exposure as an advantage, 5–10 years in the minerals/trade sector, at least 3

Formación

• Matric is the minimum qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in chemical testing/sampling is an added advantage.
• 5–10 years relevant industry experience.
• 3 years supervisory experience in inspection, sampling, mining or related operations.
• Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
• Valid driver’s license and basic computing skills (Word, Excel).

Responsabilidades

• Attend to operational matters related to work in progress.
• Ensure adherence to International Standards and SOPs.
• Adhere to SGS QOH&S and HR policies.
• Coordinate daily operational deployment with branch manager.
• Supervise and coach full-time, subcontractors and part-time staff.
• Maintain and file reports with correct data and certificates.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and safety requirements are followed.
• Assist in training and competency development to support growth strategies.
