Job summary

Placements24 is seeking motivated Processing Plant Operators to join a mineral processing facility in Mahikeng. You will operate and monitor crushers, screens, mills and flotation cells, ensuring safe production of mineral concentrates while maintaining quality and consistency.

This entry- to mid-level role emphasizes safety, teamwork and adherence to procedures. You will perform routine checks, respond to alarms, collect samples, and participate in on-the-job training and career development

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• At least 2 years operating heavy machinery or process equipment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read gauges, charts and control panels.
• Willingness to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor processing plant equipment, including crushers, screens, mills, and flotation cells.
• Control plant parameters such as flow rates, pressures, and temperatures to optimize performance.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Respond promptly to alarms and operational upsets, taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Collect samples and conduct basic quality control tests as required.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
