Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Operator for a mineral processing plant near Mahikeng in the North West. You will operate and monitor crushers, mills, flotation cells and thickeners to meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will interpret DCS and instrumentation, troubleshoot issues, and keep precise logs. A minimum of five years in a mineral processing or chemical plant is required, with experience in flotation or crushing/milling circuits preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Operator in a mineral processing or chemical plant environment, preferably with experience in flotation or crushing/milling circuits.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Control process parameters (e.g., flow rates, pressures, densities, reagent addition) to optimize recovery and product quality.
• Perform routine checks on equipment, identify potential faults, and report them for maintenance promptly.
• Conduct basic process sampling and laboratory tests as required.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational problems and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate operational logs and production records.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
