Qualifications

• Degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering with ventilation specialization.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mine ventilation, preferably underground.
• Proficiency with mine ventilation software (Ventsim, Ventlog).
• Solid knowledge of thermodynamics and air quality management.
• Familiarity with SA mining health and safety regulations.

This role is critical for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment within the underground mining operations by designing, implementing, and managing effective ventilation systems. You will be responsible for airflow modeling, dust and gas control, and maintaining optimal environmental conditions for personnel and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mine ventilation principles and a proven ability to apply these in a practical mining setting, contributing to operational safety and efficiency in the challenging underground conditions typical of the region. This is a key role within the mine's safety and operations framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize underground mine ventilation systems to ensure adequate airflow and air quality.
• Conduct airflow modeling and simulations using specialized software.
