About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Mine Safety Officer to join their operational team in the Nelspruit area. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.

• Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the mine site.
• Maintain safety records, documentation, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• SAMTRAC or equivalent advanced safety qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mine safety role, preferably in mining operations.
• In-depth knowledge of South African mining safety legislation (e.g., MHSA, OHS Act).
