Job summary

Goldi, part of the Astral Group, seeks an experienced Millwright to maintain critical mechanical and electrical systems on the breeder farm, ensuring uninterrupted operations and biosecurity compliance.

The role covers routine servicing on automated feeding lines, water purification systems, and climate control, with a standby roster to support 24/5 operations.

Excellent diagnostic skills and ability to work independently are essential, including willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Millwright certification via Section 13/26D required.
• Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in industrial or agricultural maintenance.
• Experience on poultry farms or breeder facilities is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in reading schematics, PLC fault-finding, welding and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on breeder farm equipment.
• Fault-find and repair generators, ventilation fans, pumps, and electrical systems to prevent outages.
• Disassemble, overhaul, align and install process machinery using precision tools.
• Maintain biosecurity and health and safety compliance at all times.
• Participate in standby roster to support 24/5 farm operations.
