The HR Department is assisting Gouda-based manufacturer in recruiting a Millwright to ensure efficient operation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, with focus on optimising machine performance, minimising downtime and supporting safe production.
You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams, supervise junior maintenance staff, and contribute to preventive maintenance, safety compliance and continuous improvement.

The Group is looking for a Millwright to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, with a strong focus on optimising machine performance, minimising downtime and supporting safe, efficient production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimise downtime.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC faults.
Optimise equipment performance and OEE.
Conduct timely machine repairs and fault-finding.
Identify and mitigate equipment and maintenance risks.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety standards.
Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
Support continuous improvement, cost reduction and breakdown prevention.
Supervise and support Junior Millwrights and maintenance staff.
Additional certifications in safety or machinery maintenance would be advantageous.
REQUIREMENTS:
Trade Certificate in Millwright or equivalent qualification.
Electrical or Mechanical Red Seal Certification.
Minimum 5 years’ manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
Proven experience with PLCs, VSDs and automation systems.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of health, safety and food safety standards.
Experience with maintenance management systems would be advantageous.
Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
