Placements24 in Midrand, Gauteng is seeking a Professional Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. You will operate heavy goods vehicles, deliver to various destinations, and represent our client with professionalism and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a PDP with Code 10/14, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical tasks and occasional weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• PDP and heavy vehicle licenses (Code 10/14) required.
• 3–5 years of proven professional driving experience, preferably with heavy goods vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying goods.
• Strong knowledge of Midrand and surrounding roads.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy goods vehicles safely for local and regional deliveries in Midrand.
• Plan and execute delivery routes for time and fuel efficiency.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Load and unload goods; secure cargo to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and required paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points as a professional representative.
• Adhere to traffic regulations and company safety policies.
• Report delivery issues, delays, or accidents to dispatch promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
