Job summary

Solenis in Kempton Park is seeking a dedicated field merchandiser to support in-store execution and stock management across a pre-determined route list. You will count stock, assist reps, merchandise per planogram and monitor stock levels to drive promotional activity.

Responsibilities include price checks, POS maintenance, and collaboration with Store Managers to optimize shelf presence and regional budget targets.

Responsibilities

• Calling on existing customers as per pre-determined route list
• Count stock and assist Rep to determine stock to be ordered
• Merchandise trade sector according to trade sector layout (planogram)
• Optimize stock levels, monitor slow/fast sellers and take appropriate action
• Consistent quality checks responds to poor quality or damaged stock
• Ensure stock rotation
• Keep areas/shelves clean, tidy and uncluttered
• Identify opportunities to cross merchandise and implement
• Management of out of stocks
• Control and Maintenance of POS material and Merchandising tools
• Erecting and maintaining of display as per SOP
• Manage returns
• Administration requests- Time sheets and / any other request from management.
• Reporting on and monitoring of opposition activity to representative and Sales Manager
• Maintain forward share and Team work to achieve regional budget

Price Management

• Assist representative with monitoring and communication of pricing in stores
• Investigating identified discrepancies.
• Check PI labels and replace any outdated / missing ones with new store generated labels at each call

Promotional Activity At Store Level

• Assist in promotional activities.
• Supporting of promoters in store where necessary

Trade Responsible Care (TRC)

Assist the representative in providing product and safety Training

Ensuring that the TRC standards are strictly maintained

• Comply to all safety rules and safe-job practices
• Report all accidents/incidents/injuries immediately to his/her supervisor, no matter how small
• Attend and participate in safety EH&S meetings
• Report all unsafe conditions to his/her Supervisor
• Keep his / her work area clean and neat (Maintain good housekeeping standards)

New Store Openings

• Build relationship with Store Manager and personnel.
• Assist representative with layout of shelves as per approved planogram within SOP.

Assist representative with TRC training including provision of tools required – i.e. bins, bags etc.
