Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a skilled MEP BIM Detailer to deliver 3D models and 2D drawings in a BIM environment. You will coordinate with lead engineers, ensure constructible models using Revit, Navisworks and ACC, and support on-site clash resolution and handover readiness.

Based in Cape Town, you will operate within ISO 19650 aligned workflows, manage federated models, and contribute to continuous improvement while meeting project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Architecture or Design.
• Minimum 2 years' BIMCo-ordination or detailing experience.
• Proficiency in Revit (MEP), Navisworks and ACC/BIM360.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 information management principles and CDE workflows.
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Detail and coordinate 3D elements according to project requirements and standards.
• Produce and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using Revit, Navisworks and ACC/BIM360.
• Create accurate co-ordination and installation drawings.
• Conduct clash detection and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with project engineers and management to communicate drawing information clearly.
• Assist with tender processes and ensure compliance with standards.
