Placements24 seeks a highly qualified Medical Science Liaison to represent a Cardiology portfolio in the Benoni area. You will serve as a peer scientific resource for healthcare professionals, building relationships with KOLs and translating complex data into clinical insights.

You will collaborate with R&D, medical affairs and commercial teams, support site identification for trials, and respond to medical information requests. Travel to the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a scientific/medical discipline.
• 3–5 years of MSL/medical affairs or clinical development experience.
• Cardiology expertise preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and articulate Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to represent their innovative portfolio in the field of Cardiology within the Benoni area. As an MSL, you will serve as a peer-to-peer scientific resource for healthcare professionals, focusing on building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and disseminating complex clinical and scientific information. This role requires a deep understanding of cardiovascular medicine, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate scientific data into meaningful clinical insights. You will play a vital role in advancing scientific understanding and supporting the appropriate use of our client's therapies.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs and other key stakeholders in cardiology.
• Deliver scientific and clinical presentations on company products and relevant disease states.
• Gather insights from KOLs and communicate them to internal R&D, medical affairs, and commercial teams.
• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and investigator engagement.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to the development of therapeutic area strategies and medical education plans.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant scientific or medical discipline.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical science liaison, medical affairs, or clinical development, preferably in Cardiology.
• Demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular medicine and a strong understanding of the current scientific landscape.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging with medical experts.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
