Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Media Relations Specialist to join our Randburg-based team. In this role you will craft media strategies, write press materials and respond to inquiries, while building strong relationships with journalists and editors across Gauteng and beyond.

You will oversee media monitoring, provide timely analysis, and support spokespeople during interactions. A Bachelor’s in communications or PR and 4+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in media relations or PR.
• Proven track record of securing positive media coverage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong storytelling abilities.
• Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
