Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for our client in Nelspruit. The role focuses on improving long-term performance of mechanical systems across industrial applications, analyzing failure data, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to maximize uptime.

You will collaborate with design and maintenance teams, perform FMEA/FTA, track MTBF/MTTR metrics, and develop testing plans. A bachelor's degree and at least four years' reliability experience are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a specific focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance analysis.
• Proficiency in reliability analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, Weibull analysis).
• Experience with data analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Familiarity with industrial equipment, machinery, and their failure modes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and failure mechanisms.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
