Placements24 in Rustenburg is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team. You will repair, maintain and service heavy mining machinery to minimise downtime and maximise performance.

The role requires reading drawings, diagnosing faults and performing precise repairs with hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments. You will mentor apprentices and help drive safety and quality standards in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a relevant trade certificate (NQF Level 3).
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, drills).
• Proficient with hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
