Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery, including heavy mining equipment, pumps, conveyors, and processing units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment operations and repair procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize operational disruption.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively, including welding equipment and diagnostic instruments.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or in a similar role, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations relevant to industrial maintenance.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Physical stamina and the ability to work in demanding environments.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to different sites within Rustenburg, North West, ZA .
