Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading water treatment solutions provider in Mahikeng, North West. The role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for water purification and wastewater facilities, with emphasis on fluid mechanics, pump systems, piping, and process equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design for process equipment and fluid systems.
• Experience in water or wastewater treatment is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and P&ID development.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, pump selection, piping design, and water treatment processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., AWWA) and environmental regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Mahikeng, North West.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify mechanical components and systems for water and wastewater plants, including pumps, valves, piping, and filtration units.
• Develop P&IDs and mechanical layouts for treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities
