Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process optimization.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost.
• Design and implement new mechanical systems or modifications to existing equipment.
• Use CAD to modify designs and document technical specifications.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and management to implement improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for proposed changes.
• Develop preventative maintenance strategies for critical equipment.
• Ensure changes comply with safety and environmental standards.
• Train personnel on new processes or equipment.
• Monitor KPIs related to process efficiency and product quality.
