Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with HVAC and building services expertise to join a Queenstown team on-site. You will design, implement, and maintain mechanical systems across commercial and industrial facilities, driving energy efficiency and code compliance.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and at least four years in HVAC design, with strong AutoCAD skills and experience in project coordination and site supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years in HVAC design and building services.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and HVAC design/analysis software.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Design and specify HVAC systems for building projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD.
- Conduct energy modeling, load calculations for building systems.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
- Provide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards.
