Job summary

ESG Recruitment Limited seeks a Mechanical Draughtsman with 3+ years of SolidWorks experience to design conveyors, crushers and vibrating screens for mining equipment. You will produce accurate 2D/3D drawings and collaborate with engineering, fabrication and workshop teams to drive design improvements.

Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor is required, with training provided if needed. A relevant mechanical drafting qualification is advantageous for this permanent role in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' Mechanical Draughtsman experience.
• Experience designing conveyors, vibrating screens, feeders, chutes, hoppers, or modular processing equipment.
• Strong 3D CAD experience using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• SolidWorks training will be provided where required.
• Experience with manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our client is a specialist mining and heavy equipment manufacturing company involved in the design and fabrication of conveyors, crushers, vibrating screens and related mining equipment.

They are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman with a minimum of 3 years' SolidWorks experience to join their team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing, fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Assist with the design and development of mining and heavy equipment.
• Work closely with engineering, fabrication and workshop teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years' Mechanical Draughtsman experience.
• Experience designing conveyors, vibrating screens, feeders, chutes, hoppers, support structures, platforms and/or modular processing equipment will be highly advantageous.
• Strong 3D CAD experience using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor is required.
• Candidates currently using Inventor who have strong mechanical design and fabrication experience are encouraged to apply. SolidWorks training will be provided where required.
• Good mechanical design and technical drawing knowledge.
• Experience with manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Relevant Mechanical Draughting / Engineering qualification advantageous.
• Good computer literacy.
