Job summary

Pump and Abrasion Technologies in Gauteng is seeking a Mechanical Design Draughtsman to create detailed SolidWorks drawings, including manufacturing, QC, and assembly views with precision.

You will collaborate with engineers, refine components, manage BOMs and ERP data, and ensure designs meet industry standards. A minimum of 3 years SolidWorks experience is required; EPC exposure is advantageous.

Must have own transport and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach; salary is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SolidWorks required; candidates without this skill will not be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of SolidWorks experience.
• Knowledge of PLM/PDM and BOM creation is advantageous.
• Experience with large EPC projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical drawings and designs using SolidWorks, including Manufacturing, QC, GA, exploded view and sectional drawings.
• Liaise with engineers and other departments to develop and refine components and systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and modifications.
• Create and manage BOMs in the ERP system and ensure correct part numbering.
• Support prototyping, testing, and technical reporting.
• Conform to drafting standards and PLM/PDM controls.
