Job summary

You will oversee stock management, housekeeping, staff recruitment, customer service, and compliance with HACCP and OHSA standards, aiming for cost control and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in retail, a Grade 12, and a relevant qualification; leadership and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Diploma or Degree in Retail or Business or related qualification will be advantageous.
• 5+ years’ experience in retail, ideally in a managerial or leadership role.
• Prior knowledge of stock management, buying, staff, merchandising, and profitability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock management, including ordering, deliveries, stock levels and shrinkage control.
• Maintain store housekeeping and HACCP compliance; ensure OHSA safety practices.
• Lead and develop store staff: recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Organise store layout and promotions to optimise sales and customer experience.
• Manage cash handling, daily cash-ups, and ensure cash security.
• Provide excellent customer service and analyse customer needs and feedback.
• Manage store systems including Meat Matrix and related reporting.
