Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Marketing Portfolio Manager for their Head Office. The Marketing Portfolio Manager plans and manages Dis-Chem's end-to-end marketing campaigns across business units, categories, Private Label brands, and the Dis-Chem brand. The role translates the marketing calendar set by the Head of Brand and Marketing Strategy into executable campaigns aligned to commercial priorities, and coordinates delivery in close collaboration with the Head of Ecosystem Marketing and Head of Media Excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in campaign planning, marketing operations, or integrated marketing roles
- 3-5 years' experience in a leadership or people management role within multidisciplinary marketingroles
- Experience working across brand, category, or business unit marketing teams preferred
Responsibilities
Campaign planning and calendar management
- Translate the approved marketing calendar into detailed campaign plans across portfolios, business units, categories and brand initiatives
- Prioritise campaigns based on commercial objectives, trading cycles, and capacity
- Maintain an integrated, execution-ready campaign calendar across all business units
- Ensure alignment between brand, category, and promotional campaigns
Campaign management and execution coordination
- Manages end-to-end campaign execution across channels and teams, from planning and briefing through to execution and closure
- Manages timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders
- Track campaign progress, dependencies, and risks to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, in full, and to brief
- Drive consistency in campaign execution across all touchpoints
Stakeholder alignment and governance
- Act as the central point of coordination between Brand Strategy, Ecosystem Marketing, and Media
- Facilitate alignment on campaign scope, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Ensure adherence to marketing processes, governance frameworks, and approval protocols
- Proactively manage risks, bottlenecks, and escalation points

- Solid understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and campaign planning within retail or General Merchandise environments
- Experience managing marketing calendars and coordinating multi-stakeholder campaign delivery
- Familiarity with cross-channel marketing execution (digital, in-store, traditional media)

- Ability to balance strategic priorities, execution constraints, and stakeholder expectations
