Key Responsibilities
  • Ad-hoc Marketing Support: Assist with marketing design tasks, presentations, research, and coordination of promotional materials.
  • Social Media Management: Plan, schedule, and publish monthly content across platforms in line with strategies, trends, and brand guidelines. Analyse social media and website analytics to track performance and report on key metrics.
  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain company website, including blogs, content adjustments, and ensuring accurate information.
  • Content Collaboration: Work with relevant parties to gather, design, and collate content for social media, website updates, and monthly newsletters.
  • Market Research & Local Insights: Conduct research to understand South African consumer behaviour, demographics, and economic trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure all marketing campaigns comply with CPA, POPIA, and ARB regulations.
  • Budget & ROI Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximise ROI.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with local suppliers, vendors, and agencies to execute marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide management with data-driven reports and actionable insights on marketing performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a marketing role with a track record of executing campaigns in the South African market.
  • Experience within SME environments advantageous.
  • Relevant degree / diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (social media management, email marketing software, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create persuasive, brand-consistent content.
  • Strong understanding of South African consumer trends, business landscape, and media habits, ideally in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of POPIA, CPA, and related marketing legislation to ensure compliance.
