Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to focus on Manufacturing Systems at our East London facility. You will design, implement, and optimize manufacturing systems to boost efficiency, throughput, and quality, collaborating with automation, IT and production teams.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial engineering, CAD and simulation proficiency, and familiarity with MES/ERP systems. This is a full-time on-site position in East London within the manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering focused on manufacturing systems.
Experience designing, implementing and improving manufacturing systems.
Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for system design.
Knowledge of MES and ERP systems.
Lean manufacturing familiarity.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement integrated manufacturing systems to optimize production flow.
Analyze processes to identify opportunities for automation and system upgrades.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and lines.
Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaborate with automation, IT, and production teams for seamless integration.
Conduct performance analysis and drive improvements to throughput and cycle times.
Troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Evaluate new technologies to improve system performance.
Lead MES implementation or enhancement projects.
