Mirna Butler Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Silo Manager (Maize) to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a silo in Elliot, ensuring efficient operations, staff leadership and sound financial control. The successful candidate will hold Matric, 4+ years in grain and silo management, fumigation and grading courses, fluent in Afrikaans and English, with a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

You will monitor budgets, manage staff and customer service, maintain records, and ensure operations

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 4+ years of grain and silo management experience.
• Fumigation course completed.
• Grading course completed.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Experience supervising staff or teams.
• Experience managing budgets and costs.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage silo operations within the approved budget and ensure cost control.
• Monitor silo expenditures and address variances.
• Supervise daily staff activities and ensure operational requirements are met.
• Ensure staff adhere to company policies and standards.
• Handle customer service issues professionally and maintain relationships.
• Maintain high service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee financial activities and controls within the division.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and reporting.
