Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client’s Benoni manufacturing facility. The role focuses on maintaining production equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and the ability to read drawings and use diagnostic tools. The job includes shift work and on-call standby as needed.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent industrial experience.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and be on standby as required.

Responsibilities
