Placements24 is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Upington to support on-site and hybrid maintenance across industrial machinery and facility systems. You will perform inspections, diagnose faults, and carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure reliable operation.

You will collaborate with production teams, read manuals and schematics, and uphold safety standards while delivering high workmanship and continuous improvement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and safety-conscious workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as needed.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and ensure prompt resolution of equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the execution of maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability.
