Placements24 seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client’s manufacturing plant in Centurion. You will maintain production machinery, diagnose issues, and implement preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. Emphasis on safety and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures is essential.

The role offers exposure to a range of industrial equipment, with opportunities for upskilling and development within a stable manufacturing environment. A trade qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
• Trade qualification or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures on production machinery.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to restore operations quickly.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during maintenance operations.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.

About the Role
