Job summary

Samancor Chrome Ltd. seeks a proactive maintenance supervisor to oversee risk-based maintenance activities and SHEQ compliance on site in South Africa. You will supervise the team, manage performance, and coordinate planned and unplanned work using SAP PM and SAP HR systems.

You will ensure contractor activities are managed on site, recruit and develop staff, and maintain safety and quality standards through IMS-driven processes. A strong focus on scheduling and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising teams with performance targets.
• Knowledge of risk management and SHEQ principles.
• Ability to conduct recruitment interviews and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility and apply mitigation.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance within the team using the IMS toolbox.
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.
• Coordinate maintenance planning, scheduling and resource allocation for planned and unplanned work.
• Maintain labour stability, monitor performance, and implement development actions.
• Oversee contractor activities on site and ensure proper documentation and acceptance.
