Job summary

Amanzimtoti, South Africa, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Steel Manufacturing) to lead maintenance teams, coordinate planned and breakdown upkeep, and drive safety and reliability in a heavy industrial setting.

The role requires leadership in multi-trade environments, experience with CMMS (SAP PM) and strong OHS knowledge, with duties including planning, spares management, and shift coordination.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Red Seal or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years maintenance experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in steel, foundry, heavy engineering or similar heavy industry.
• Proven ability to lead multi-trade teams and manage CMMS planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate and supervise daily maintenance work.
• Coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Plan and manage shutdowns, overhauls and major repairs.
• Ensure work is completed safely, to standard and on time.
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage spares requirements with stores and procurement teams.
• Oversee accurate completion of job cards and CMMS records.
