Placements24 is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role leads a team of technicians, drives preventive maintenance, and oversees troubleshooting of complex plant equipment.

You will ensure safety compliance and optimize downtime while coordinating with production. The ideal candidate has extensive industrial maintenance experience, strong leadership and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, with familiarity in CMMS and PLC-driven systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial automation is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CMMS software.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• National Diploma or N3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related trade qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting complex machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial automation is a significant advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
